5、(1)強調(diào)句式中的it與that都沒有意義,若把強調(diào)句式部分去掉,剩下的部分在句子結(jié)構(gòu)與意義上仍然完整。 (2)強調(diào)句型的特殊疑問句形式用于主從復合句中的名詞性從句時,其語序應用陳述句語序。 (3)強調(diào)句型與定語從句相結(jié)合,若強調(diào)句型中的被強調(diào)部分含有定語從句,注意對定語從句引導詞及強調(diào)句型中的that要做出正確的判斷。 ①Do you know what it is that they will talk about at the party? 你知道他們在聚會上將要談論些什么嗎? ②It was in the school where they had their schooli

17、nada and transported to the park. By last year, the Yellowstone wolf population had grown to more than 170 wolves. Gray wolves once were seen here and there in the Yellowstone area and much of the continental United States, but they were gradually displaced by human development. By the 1920s, wolve
18、s had practically disappeared from the Yellowstone area. They went farther north into the deep forests of Canada, where there were fewer humans around. The disappearance of the wolves had many unexpected results. Deer and elk populations—major food sources (來源) for the wolf—grew rapidly. These anim

The coyotes killed a large percentage of the park's red foxes, and completely drove away the park's beavers. As early as 1966, biologists asked t
20、he government to consider reintroducing wolves to Yellowstone Park. They hoped that wolves would be able to control the elk and coyote problems. Many farmers opposed the plan because they feared that wolves would kill their farm animals or pets. The government spent nearly 30 years coming up with
21、a plan to reintroduce the wolves. The US Fish and Wildlife Service carefully monitors and manages the wolf packs in Yellowstone. Today, the debate continues over how well the gray wolf is fitting in at Yellowstone. Elk, deer, and coyote populations are down, while beavers and red foxes have made a c

With eight million metric tons of plastic entering the ocean every year, we cannot afford to let industry sit on the sidelines. Marine life has a 50% death rate when it swallows plastic—yet researchers believe the
31、re will be more plastic in the ocean than fish by the year 2050 if this rate of litter continues. That means there can be an immediate positive impact if we swap plastic straws for environmentally friendly alternatives. The smart design on the cup for cold drinks comes from Starbucks' in-house team
