111The Third PeriodThe General Idea of This PeriodIn this period were going to learn the reading passage in detail.Teaching Aims1. Berners-Lee built his first computer while he was at university using an old television.貝爾納斯李在上大學(xué)期間就創(chuàng)建了他的第一臺(tái)電腦,使用的是一臺(tái)舊電腦。using an old television 為現(xiàn)在分詞短語(yǔ)作方式狀語(yǔ)。7. He came up with the idea of the World Wide Web in 1989 while he was working in Switzerland. 1989年他在瑞士工作時(shí)就提出創(chuàng)建萬(wàn)維網(wǎng)的想法。 come up with 提出,想出(看法/觀點(diǎn)/建議等)come up with a proposal 提出建議come up with a response 作出反應(yīng)8. Berners-Lee made it possible for everyone to use the Internet.貝爾納斯李使每個(gè)人使用因特網(wǎng)成為可能。句型結(jié)構(gòu)為:主語(yǔ)+動(dòng)詞+it+用作賓語(yǔ)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的形容詞(或名詞)+不定式短語(yǔ)。常用于這個(gè)句型的動(dòng)詞有:find, feel, think, consider, make等。e. g. The number of the pages of this book is 300.這本書的頁(yè)數(shù)為三百頁(yè)。A number of new products have been successfully trial-produced. 許多新產(chǎn)品已試制成功。Step 4 Reading aloudThe teacher asks the students to read the passage aloud and underline the words, phrases and sentences which they dont understand.
