Step One. Greetings & Free talk
Greet each other, then show Ss some pictures about some activities.
According to these pictures, ask the Ss to have some free talks with:
1. “Can I / you …?” and “ May I / you …?”

3、ike / likes …… don’t / doesn’t like …
And then introduce the word “dislike”
.
Help the Ss revise the structures to express what they like or they dislike.
Step I Presentation
1 With some pictures, lead in some words with these consonants.
2 Write /p/,/b/,/t/,/d/, /k/,/,/g/,/h/,/m/,/n/,[?
4、],/l/,/r/,/j/,/w/ on the blackboard. Pay attention to the coloured letters in these words .How to read now? Tell the students: They are the sounds of the consonants.
2.Lead reading the 14 new consonants.
3.Ask the students to try to write them.
Ss practise in pairs.
Ss read about Millie’s li
5、kes and dislikes in the table below.
Help the Ss learn how to use the chart by talking about their likes or dislikes.
Step II Practice
1 Ask students to cover the right side of these consonants.
2 Encourage students to read follow the tape.
3 Try to read themselves.

Ss have a discussion.
Ss finish the e-mail.
Help the Ss write their own article by filling the blanks of the e-mail.
Step III Presentation
1 Encourage students to read the words in Part A. Pay attention to the different sounds of the letters.
