Revision of Nonverbal Humor
Teaching goals: ① All the students are able to say and spell the important words and phrases
② All the students are able to talk about what humor is freely.
③ Most students are able to apply the gained knowledge to daily life with a certain fluency

Teaching aids: multimedia computer
Teaching method: situational communication, group work, task challenge
Teaching schedule:
Step one: A fictional friend’s story, leading up to the topic----What is humor? The story of a friend is sure to open up students’ mind, which helps to elicit as m
3、uch as possible from the students. The pictures talk themselves.
Step two: Free talk of what humor is from the students’ point of view, featuring the individual understanding of humor.
Step Three: Listen to the text of Nonverbal Humor, brushing up the practical words, phrases, and sentence
4、 structures. Meanwhile ask the students to do the brand new testing part: Grammar Blank Cloze, based on the first paragraph of the text.
Step Four: Do the task work in groups. Each group will choose a task and team work within the group, and present it in a proper way.. Credits will be given based on the students’ performance.
Step Five: Assignments.
