Unit 7 Know our worldLesson 37 Lets Learn Geography!一教材分析:本單元圍繞地理和語言這一話題展開教學(xué)。課本從詹妮、丹尼和布萊恩的對(duì)話開始,介紹了世界上一些國(guó)家的情況,要求學(xué)生了解介紹世界上各個(gè)國(guó)家的人文、地理、語言和人口,學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)如何介紹世界各地的情況。學(xué)生在學(xué)習(xí)與地理和語言相關(guān)內(nèi)容的同時(shí)進(jìn)一步擴(kuò)展了有關(guān)世界各地地理、語言、人口和風(fēng)俗的生詞、短語和日常用語。學(xué)會(huì)如何介紹世界,了解世界,學(xué)習(xí)現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)態(tài)和被動(dòng)語態(tài)的用法。當(dāng)然,除了學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí),還要培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的創(chuàng)新能力,爭(zhēng)取全面發(fā)展。第37課,通過對(duì)話了解介紹自己去過的地方。二學(xué)情分析:八年級(jí)的學(xué)生已經(jīng)初步具備了聽說讀寫的能力,但水平兩級(jí)分化仍不容忽視,尤其是學(xué)生口語、書面表達(dá)相對(duì)薄弱,因此在教學(xué)活動(dòng)的設(shè)計(jì)上要盡量考慮不同層次學(xué)生的能力水平,多給與鼓勵(lì),增強(qiáng)其自信心。三教學(xué)目標(biāo):1.掌握單詞:population,abroad,Japan,Japanese,island,Pacific;短語:one day,cant wait to do sth 2.了解介紹自己去過的地方:Yes. Jenny and I have been to China twice. He has been to every continent except Antarctica.3.了解如何詢問對(duì)方去過的地方。4.通過聽力訓(xùn)練,兩人合作角色扮演的方式及小組合作交流的方式進(jìn)行教學(xué),通過實(shí)物或圖片提供的場(chǎng)景練習(xí)目標(biāo)語言,提高英語聽說能力。5.初步了解現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)態(tài)的用法。四教學(xué)重難點(diǎn):1.正確使用本課的有關(guān)地理和語言的單詞:geography,continent2.運(yùn)用所學(xué)知識(shí)介紹自己去過的地方:Yes.Jenny and I have been to China twice.He has been to every continent except Antarctica.五教學(xué)輔助:Multi-media, Study list六教學(xué)方法:The Task-based Teaching Method, The Communicative Approach七教學(xué)活動(dòng):Step1. Lead-inWatch a video, then let the students think about it: Whats your favorite subject? Why do you like to study geography? What can we learn in geography class?(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:觀看視頻吸引學(xué)生注意力,快速進(jìn)入本課題目Lets learn geography,并引發(fā)學(xué)生思考。)Step2. Pre-listening 1.Learn the new words. We have learned about the population of the world. China has a larger population than Japan. Have you ever been to Japan? No. I cant speak Japanese. I have never been abroad. But I want to go to the Antarctica. Thats cool! I want to go to an island in the Pacific.2.Check the new words.(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:新單詞的學(xué)習(xí)與檢測(cè)為學(xué)生進(jìn)行以下教學(xué)活動(dòng)做詞匯鋪墊。)Step3. Extensive Listening(泛聽)Which countries have they been to?Listen and tick the country that each person has visited.(設(shè)計(jì)意圖:泛聽課文,勾選每個(gè)人去過的國(guó)家,初步感知文本,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生在聽力過程中抓取關(guān)鍵信息的能力。)Step4.
