Now Ill say Lesson thirty-three in Book One. Ill prepare to say the lesson from six parts. Analysis of the lesson , Teaching objectives, Teaching keys and difficult points, Teaching and learning methods, Teaching steps, Design of the board writing.Part1 Analysis of the Teaching Material This is an important lesson in Book One. This lesson is the first one of Unit 4.The main content of this lesson is to know about their family. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English. Part2 Teaching objectives 1.Teaching aims and demandsKnowledge objects(1) the Ss can understand the content of the lesson.(2) The Ss can hear, read ,and use the main sentence patterns.(3) The Ss can use the patterns to express their thoughts in the proper situation.Ability objects(1)enable Ss to talk about their family and members in their family(2)to develop the Ss listening ,speaking ,reading skill Emotion objects(1) Enable the Ss to have desire to study English and enjoy the lesson.(2) Arouse the Ss English interest by family trees. 2.main teaching points and difficult points in this lesson,there are two points to be solved,The first part To practice the sentence patterns, such as “how old are you?” “I am thirteen” The second part To address the family members in English and know the relationship among the family members .etc. by learning the dialogue of this lesson. 3.Teaching aids Blackboard ,pictures,tape recorder, PowerPoint 4.Analysis of the students The Ss has learned English for about two months so far. They can understand some words and some simple sentences. The Ss have taken a great interest in English now. Part3 Teaching keys and difficult points 1.Key points: (1).To help the Ss to communicate with each other. (2).To enable the Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully. (3).To develop the Ss interest in English. 2.Difficult points: (1) How to make dialogues and act them out. (2) How to write the right whole sentences. Part4 Teaching Methods and studying methods Teaching Methods(1) Communicative teaching method 交際教學(xué)法 (2) Audio-visual teaching method 視聽教學(xué)法 (3) Task-based” teaching method 任務(wù)教學(xué)法 As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson Ill mainly use “Communicative” teaching method, “Audio-visual” teaching method and “Task-based” teaching method. That is to say, Ill let the Ss to get a better understanding of the key structure of the dialogue. Ill give the Ss some tasks and arrange five kinds of activities: talking, guessing games, draw a picture and having a competition. studying methods 1.Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners 2.Let the Ss pass ObservationImitationPractice to study language. Part5 Teaching steps Ill finish this lesson in four steps. First Ill divide the Ss into four groups and bring a competition into the class. At last lets see which group is the winner. Step1 Warm-up 1. Free talk between T and Ss . Such as: Hi, Im . . . . Whats your name? How many people are there in your family?Show some pictures about people to review the words and sentences:old young How old are you? How old is he?He isyears old. Step2 While-task1. introduce the new words on the screen:grandfather/grandpa, grandmother/grandma,daughter, son(in this period,i will teach new words by questions,show the sounds of the words and expand knowledge To get Ss to grasp new words and have a better understanding about meanings of them.at the same time,go over the old words)2. read new words(which group reads well,which one is the winner)Step3.listen and answer1) listen to the tape with the following questions: How many boys are there in Limings family? Does Liming have brothers and sisters?2) read the textStep4 post-task(to show the difficult sentences,let the Ss discuss about the meanings and using of the sentences,underline the important words) I have no brothers or sisters. She is very young. family Step5 Extend the text Describe ones own family(which group reads well,which one is the winner) Share the family photos Learn to sing the song “I love you, you love me Part6. Homework: Read and write the new words Write a short passage to introduce the family Communicate with parents about what we have learned.Part7 Blackboard Design Part8 feedback During the teaching course,I made the Ss discuss about their family and they should love other people.I encouraged the Ss to take part in different kinds of activities and helped them build up their confidence, especially the poor ones.I gave the Ss encouragement as much as possible. The class was comfortable, and the Ss were active.
