1. It’s poli
12、te to eat up the food on your plate, so ….
eat up / eat…up意為“吃完,吃光”,類似的短語還有eat up ,意為“用完,用光”,
2.When you drink to someone, you’d better raise your cup or glass and take only a little.
drink to sb / sth

3. I want to know whether/if it is polite to point at people with chopsticks in China.
Is Jane at home now? I want to know.(合并為一句) —— I want to know if/whether Jane is at home now.

I don’t think it’s going to rain this afternoon.
5. Will people leave as soon as they finish eating in
15、 western countries?
finish doing sth.
After you finish doing your homework, you can watch TV.
