8、mary of the Attributive Clause 定語(yǔ)從句的相關(guān)概念 1.定義:在復(fù)合句中修飾名詞或代詞的從句。 2.先行詞:被修飾的名詞,代詞或整句話(huà)。 Eg: There was an earthquake which happened in Tangshan in 1976. ???????????? (先行詞)(關(guān)系代詞) ? 3.引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句的:關(guān)系代詞,關(guān)系副詞 引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句的關(guān)系詞 關(guān)系代詞:who, which, that, whose 關(guān)系副詞:when, where, why ? 指代人:who, whom, that??? 指代事物:w

9、hich,that 所屬關(guān)系:whose 指地點(diǎn):where??? 指時(shí)間: when?? 指原因:why ? 4. 定語(yǔ)從句的實(shí)質(zhì) 1)I have an apple.?? The apple is red. ??? I have an apple that/which is red. (定語(yǔ)從句) ?????????????????????????????修飾先行詞an apple ???????????????????????? ?that/which修飾物 2)I like some friends.?? Some friends like sports. ????

I like some friends who/that like sports(定語(yǔ)從句) ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????? 修飾人 some friends 小結(jié):在定語(yǔ)從句中如果先行詞是物,選擇關(guān)系代詞which/that, 如果先行詞是人,選擇的關(guān)系代詞是who/that/whom.如果先行詞是所屬關(guān)系,選擇的先行詞是whose.運(yùn)用定語(yǔ)從句能避免句子的重復(fù),使句子清晰,明了。 ? 5. 關(guān)系代詞的基本用法 關(guān)系代詞 指代的先行詞 充當(dāng)從句的成分 who

12、/that will host the 2012 Olympic Game is London。 Step4 Analyzing The different usages of that, which, who, whom, whose. 1. that指人或物在定語(yǔ)從句中作主語(yǔ)和賓語(yǔ),作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)可以省略。 ? Eg: (1)A plane is a machine can fly.(作主語(yǔ)) ?????? ?(2)He is the man (that) I told you about.(作賓語(yǔ)) ?2.who指人,在定語(yǔ)從句中作主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ),作賓語(yǔ)時(shí),可省略。 Eg: (1)T

13、he man (who) I talked with is our teacher.(作賓語(yǔ)) ???? (2)A person who steals things is called a thief.(作主語(yǔ)) ? 3.whom指人,在定語(yǔ)從句中作賓語(yǔ),可省略。 Eg:The man (whom) I nodded to is Mr Li.(作賓語(yǔ)) ? 4,which指物,在定語(yǔ)從句中作主語(yǔ),賓語(yǔ),作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)可以省略。 Eg: (1)These are the trees which were planted last year.(作主語(yǔ)) ???? 14、ord (which) he is using is made inJapan.(作賓語(yǔ)) 5.whose指人或物,在定語(yǔ)從句中作定語(yǔ),不可省略。 Eg:? (1)This is the little girl whose parents were killed in the great earthquake.(作定語(yǔ)) ???? (2)We live in a house whose windows face south.(作定語(yǔ)) 小結(jié):要判斷關(guān)系代詞在定語(yǔ)從句充當(dāng)賓語(yǔ)還是主語(yǔ),要看關(guān)系代詞之后的定語(yǔ)從句,如果句子有主語(yǔ),謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞,缺少賓語(yǔ),那么它就充當(dāng)賓語(yǔ),如果關(guān)系代詞之后是謂語(yǔ)

15、動(dòng)詞,它就充當(dāng)主語(yǔ),在做題的時(shí)候要注意,首先看先行詞是人還是物還是所屬關(guān)系,其次要看關(guān)系代詞在定語(yǔ)從句中充當(dāng)?shù)某煞郑ㄟ^(guò)總結(jié),區(qū)別,分析,就會(huì)選出正確答案。 ?Step5. Practicing ? (1)??
