Revise other verbs the students know using the pictures or mimes, eg. Drawing or painting, playing football and

5、 other games, eating, swimming, watching TV. 3. Write the verbs for the activities. Ask the students what do you want to do this weekend? When they give me an answer, say OK./ Good idea. Let‘s go to … 4. Show transparency. Play the cassette and point to the speech bubbles. Ask the students

6、 to repeat after the cassette. Step2. Practice: 1. Books open. Play the tape . Point to the people on the page and revise or teach the verbs and the places. Read aloud or play the tape for the illustrated conversations. Ask the students to repeat the words after me. 2. Ask the students to

7、 work in pairs to ask each other and answer about what they want to do. 3. Workbook (p1): Tell the students to read the words in the box and look at the pictures of children‘s activities. Then ask the students to complete the sentences by choosing the correct words from the box. Check the answer

8、s with the whole class. Step3. Homework: 1. Listen to part A and repeat it for three times. 2. Copy the phrases and the dialogues in the Exx. books. Feedback: Most of students can master the phrases and the dialogues very well. They can make the dialogues freely. Good job! Board de

12、t is from Tim‘s pen friend. Explain what a pen friend is , if necessary. Ask the students if they have any pen friends. Step2. Practice: 1. Show transparency. Play the cassette. Point out to the students that when someone likes a hobby or activity and often does it, we put –ing on the verb, e

13、.g. Allan likes playing the piano. Write the sentences on the board and ask the students to underline the –ing endings on the verbs. 2. Tell the students to read the letter again. Adk them to complete Tim‘s notes about Allan‘s hobbies by writing either likes or doesn‘t like next to each of the a

14、ctivities. 3. Ask the students to work in pairs and take turns to make sentences using the notes to check if they have the same answers. Step3. Role-play: Ask the students to ask their partner what do you do in your spare time? Encourage them to make notes similar to the ones about Allan

15、‘s hobbies. Ask one of the partners to stand up and tell me about the other one, using He/ She likes …ing. Strep4. Practice: Workbook (P2): 1. Ask the students to look at the pictures and listen to the tape. 2. Ask them to put a tick or a cross in the boxes according to what they hear on

16、the tape. Check the answers with them. Step5. Homework: 1. Listen to the tape and repeat it for three times. 2. Copy the letter and translate it into Chinese. Feedback: Most of the students can understand the letter well. But some of them can‘t finish the sentences correctly. Help them. B

Ask them to take time to read the sentences before I play the tape. Remind them that they should famil

This is because we only use 26 letters for normal writing but there are 44 different sounds used in the spoken language. Give them an example, e.g. letter a says different things in these words: apple, play, arm, came

36、ra, hair, etc. 2. Write the symbols for long and short ?i‘ on the board. Explain that they have no name, only a sound. The sound can be written in many ways. Write the words on the page under each symbol. Ask the students to tell me other words with same sounds and add them to the list. 3. Play t

37、he tape and ask the students to listen to the sounds and the words. 4. Say the words slowly and clearly. Check that the students are making a distinction between the short and the long vowel sounds correctly. 5. Point to the pictures and check that the students can say the words without my model

48、 with the words. Then ask the students to write the correct day of the week under each picture. 3. Tell the students to say the chant again to check their answers. Step3. H. Think about it! Explain to the students that different countries have different names for the money they use. With mo
